Kigen opens its SGP.32 IoT eSIM starter kit to business testing
Kigen's evaluation kit combines ten certified eSIMs, device tools, remote management and activation-ready profiles from more than 13 connectivity partners.
Kigen's new route into SGP.32 testing
Kigen opened access to its IoT eSIM Starter Kit for qualified businesses on 21 July. The package is aimed at manufacturers, embedded developers and enterprise IoT teams that need to evaluate SGP.32 profile activation and remote management before moving into pilots or larger fleets.
The announcement concerns enterprise connected devices rather than a consumer travel plan. GSMA lists SGP.32 among the active specifications for the IoT eSIM architecture.
What businesses receive
Kigen says the kit includes ten certified eSIMs, access to Kigen eIM and Kigen Pulse, the C-SDK and IPAd device-side tools, and a three-month evaluation period. These components bring profile activation, device integration and remote management into one test environment.
Profiles from more than 13 participating connectivity providers are described as ready for activation at launch. Further mobile operators and virtual network providers are still completing their activation workflows, according to Kigen.
Why a shared evaluation environment matters
An IoT product team can use one setup to examine profile downloads, lifecycle control, provider changes and device behaviour before committing to a production design. That can be relevant to meters, trackers, industrial equipment and other devices expected to operate across networks or countries for years.
The kit does not establish that every partner profile will suit every market or deployment. Coverage quality, commercial terms and production reliability still depend on the selected connectivity provider and the conditions of the individual project.
What the announcement does not answer
The launch page does not publish a standard kit price, complete qualification rules, uniform partner terms or independent performance results. Businesses must request access from Kigen and confirm availability for their own devices, markets and deployment plans.
